ROME -- The Lady Hawks fell to Christian Brothers Saturday afternoon, 5-4, from the Walt Attaway Tennis Center.
With the loss, Shorter moves to 2-3 on the season and 0-2 in the GSC; while the Lady Bucs improve to 6-6 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
The Lady Hawks fell behind, 2-1, after doubles winning at number two as
Anastasia Jovicic and
Martina Radinovic earned a 9-7 win. In singles,
Aleksandra Durzynski stayed perfect on the season with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Followed by a win at number two for
Melinda Chrun 6-4, 6-4. Jovicic also won her singles match, via a 6-0, 6-4 score.
The Lady Hawks are back in action Wednesday, February 22, at 2:00pm against longtime rival, Lee University.
