Montgomery, Ala. -- The Hawks fell to Auburn Montgomery, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon to start Gulf South Conference play.
 
With the loss, Shorter moves to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the GSC; while the Warhawks improve to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
 
Jose Moreno-Manzano 3-1 on the season with a 7-5, 6-3 win at number one. While, Caleb Diller earned the benefit of default to tally two wins on the day – at number six singles and along with Mason Barnette at number three doubles.
 
Shorter's men will be back in action Saturday as they welcome Christian Brothers to the Walt Attaway Tennis Center for a 10:00am start.
