ROME -- The Lady Hawks topped Clark Atlanta Tuesday afternoon, 5-4, from the Rome Tennis Center.

With the win, Shorter moves to 2-1 on the season; while the Panthers fall to 0-2.
 
Leading 2-1 after doubles, the Lady Hawks secured the win with three wins in singles for the 5-4 score. In doubles play, Aleksandra Durzynski and Melinda Chrun teamed up for a 8-4 win at number one; while Anastasia Jovicic and Martina Radinovic added an 8-4 win in the twos position. Durzynski stayed perfect in singles play on the year with a 6-1, 6-2 win. While, Jovicic tallied a 6-0, 6-1 decision and Radinovic finished 6-0, 6-1 for the win at number four.
 
The Lady Hawks will return to action Saturday against Montreat. The match is set to begin at 1:00pm from the Walt Attaway Tennis Complex.
