ROME -- The Lady Hawks fell to West Florida 4-0, Friday evening from Ben Brady Field.
With the loss, Shorter slips to 1-8-1 on the season and 0-7 in the GSC; while the Argos improve to 7-2-1 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
West Florida got on the board for the first time on the night in the 9th minute, and from there added to it; scoring twice in each half for the 4-0 score.
The Argos dominated play on the offensive end, tallying 25 shots for the game; while holding the Lady Hawks to just two – one each from
Taylor Hendrix and
Alexa Moore.
Sydney Durham played the complete game in goal for Shorter, making seven saves.
The Lady Hawks will return to action, on short rest, as the matchup with Valdosta State has been moved up to Saturday, October 7, at 7:00pm in hoped of avoiding the inclement weather forecasted for Sunday.
