Aiken, S.C. --Â The Hawks fell to USC Aiken, 5-1, on the road Wednesday evening.
Shorter moves to 1-3-1 on the year with the loss, while the Pacers improve to 2-1-2 overall.
Gabriel Locher put USC Aiken on the board in the third minute, and Jarrel Smalls added to the lead seven minutes later to make it a 2-0 game. The scored stood for the much of the remainder of the game as both teams looked for chances. The Pacers found that in the 74th minute, to extend their lead, on a shot from Nathan Shanko, before the Hawks netted their only goal of the game on as

In the final ten minutes USC Aiken added two additional goals from the 5-1 final score.
The Pacers held a narrow lead in the shots 13-10, while both teams placed seven on target.
Austen Trevers played the complete game in goal for Shorter, making two saves.
