Box Score Carrollton, Ga.--In their final road test of the season, the Lady Hawks fell to West Georgia, 64-56. It was the second meeting of the teams this season, and gave Shorter a season split with the Wolves.
The loss drops the Lady Hawks to 6-19 overall and 4-15 in the Gulf South Conference.
Ieshia Alexander led Shorter with 17 points on the night, while
Lynette Harris added 13 and
Kristin Nash, 11.
Karisma Boykin just missed double figures with 9 points.
In the game the Lady Hawks were held to 13% shooting from beyond the arc; making just 2 of the 15 shots taken; while the Wolves shot 42% from three point range, and proved to be affective from the line; making 18-21 shots.
West Georgia was led by Marion Lemonnier; who topped all scorers with 21 points.
Shorter will take to the court for the final time in 2014 on Saturday as they play host to longtime rival Lee University at 1:00pm at the Winthrop-King Centre. Saturday will also serve as Senior Day, with four Lady Hawks' being recognized for their service.
