Wolves top Hawks, 89-85

Box Score Carrollton, Ga.--The Hawks took to the court for the final time on the road Tuesday night, falling to West Georgia 89-85.

The loss drops Shorter to 9-16 overall and 6-13 in conference play.

The Hawks were led by Dedric Ware; who turned in 28 points in game. Brandon Pullman added 20, Jordan Jacks 18, and Steve Johnson 10.
Jacks just missed his 14th double-double of the season, by also adding 9 rebounds to his night, while Johnson tallied 10 rebounds for his second double-double performance.

Trailing by five at the half, Shorter looked to turn things around in the second frame. The Hawks tied the game on a couple of occasions during the final period, but it wasn't enough as the Wolves' Deonta Stocks hit a layup with 1:17 to play to give West Georgia the lead for good.

Stocks finished with a team high 26 points for the Wolves.

Shorter will be back in action for the final time this season as they play host to Lee University Saturday, March 1, at 3:00pm in the Winthrop-King Centre.
