Box Score Valdosta, Ga.--Shorter women's basketball took to the court for the second time this season against Valdosta State, and came away with the same result, this time a 46-41 loss.
The Lady Hawks move to 6-18 on the season and 4-14 in Gulf South play. The Lady Blazers improve to 11-13 overall and 6-12 in conference.
Shorter was led offensively by
Karisma Boykin and
Lynette Harris; who both recorded 12 points on the night,
Ieshia Alexander added 10.
With the game tied, 24-24, at the half the Lady Hawks had new life, but it wasn't enough as they were outscored 22-17 in the closing frame. Valdosta State posted 28 points off the bench, while Shorter's bench was held to 3 points, all belonging to
Tamarr Williams.
