Lady Hawks come up short at UNA

Box Score FLORENCE, Ala. - The Shorter Lady Hawks were unable to pull off the road upset Saturday when they were handed a 66-53 Gulf South Conference defeat by North Alabama.

The loss, which ended a three-game road swing, gives the Lady Hawks a 5-13overall and 3-9 GSC record heading into a back-to-back home games at the Winthrop-King Centre when Shorter hosts Christian Brothers on Thursday at 6 p.m. and faces Delta State next Saturday at 2 p.m.

Against North Alabama, Kristin Nash led the Lady Hawks with a game-high 15 points, while Ieshia Alexander added 12 as Shorter finished the game hitting 33 percent of their shots from the floor. Karisma Boykin pulled down 10 rebounds.

Jennifer Towne led the Lady Lions (11-6, 6-5) with 14 points as North Alabama's bench outscored the Lady Hawks 25-11.
