ROME -- The Hawks stay perfect with a one hundred point effort to top Clark Atlanta 103-87 from the Winthrop-King Centre Monday night.
The first half was a back and forth affair as the teams traded the lead 8 times in the opening 20 minutes. Shorter took the lead for good, however, with 1:11 to play on a free throw from 
Chris Daniels to make it a 37-36 game, and took a 38-37 lead into the intermission.
The Hawks added to their lead in the second half, leading by as many as 26 during the frame in route to their first 100 point game of the season. 
Cole Birchfield, netted the basket to give Shorter the century mark with 1:34 to play on a free throw, and finished with 6 points in his Hawks' debut.
Jordan Jacks led Shorter on the night; turning in his second double-double of the season with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Daniels also posted a double-double – his first as a member of the Hawks – tallying 18 points and 11 rebounds. 
Kordario Fleming (18), 
Dedric Ware (12) and 
Travis Jones (10) each added double figures in the win.
Shorter's bench posted 22 points in the contest, while Clark Atlanta's finished the game with 38.
The Hawks will be back in action Thursday, on the road for the first time this season, as they travel to Southern Indiana for an 8:00pm start.
