Dalton, Ga.--Hawks wrestling went 4-1 at the NCWA Collegiate Cup Tournament to bring home second place overall. On the first day of competition Shorter topped North Florida and MIT, while on the second day the Hawks topped Central Florida and Liberty before falling to Grand Canyon in the championship match.

The championship match against Grand Canyon came down to the final bout, where Peter Anguiano earned a 12-4 decision over the Hawks'
Marlen Morgan to give the Lopes the title. During the match the lead changed three times, and was all tied up going in to the final match-up.
Shorter earned 23 points for the tournament that they will take with them to the NCWA Championships in March.
The Hawks will be back in action on February 2, as they travel to Life University to take part in the Georgia Collegiate Invitational.
