Livingston, Ala.--Despite having four players reach double figures for Shorter, West Alabama found the edge to top the Hawks, 92-78, Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops Shorter to 5-8 on the season and 2-5 in the Gulf South, while the Tigers improve to 8-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
Brandon Pullman led the Hawks with 20 points, with 13 coming in the second half. Both,
Jordan Jacks and Kurtis Woods chipped in with 16, and
Dedric Ware added 12.
West Alabama, on the other hand, had five players record double figures in the game; Sandy Underwood led the charge and posted a game high 26 points.
Down by four at the intermission, Shorter looked to find the advantage, but the Tigers didn't let up and built a lead that the Hawks couldn't surmount.
Shorter will be back in action Thursday evening at 8:00pm as West Florida visits the Winthrop-King Centre.
