Clark Atlanta tops Hawks, 91-90

ATLANTA--
Men's basketball moved to 1-1 on the season with a 91-90 non-conference loss to Clark Atlanta Friday evening; which gave the Panthers their first win of the season.

Brandon Pullman recorded his first double-double of the young season, with 11 points and 11 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.While each of Shorter's starters posted double figures in points; with Dedric Ware leading the way with 22. Travis Jones and Kurtis Woods each chipped in with 16 and Jordan Jacks ended the game with 13.

Jacks just missed a double-double of his own, pulling down nine rebounds.

The Hawks led most of the game, holding a 33:09 to 3:58 advantage in time with the lead, and led by 13 with 3:27 to play in the first half. At the intermission, Shorter held a 54-47 advantage, but were outscored 44-36 in the second half.

The Hawks shot 48.7% from the line, while Clark Atlanta made 53.8% of their free throw attempts. In the end, this is what made all the difference as the Panther's Christian Houston made both of his shots to give Clark Atlanta the 91-90 lead with .08 to play, and Shorter's Jones missed both of his with .03 to play.

Men's Basketball will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Young Harris College, November 22-23, to take part in the Gulf South/Peach Belt Challenge. First taking on the University of North Georgia at 6:30pm on Friday evening, and then facing Young Harris College on Saturday at 7pm.
