Ava Tillmann Sanders is entering her third year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, and her second year as the Senior Woman Administrator at Shorter.
Prior to her role, she was a Compliance and Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Shorter. Sanders graduated with a Master of Management degree from Shorter University in 2023.
Sanders was a student-athlete at the University of Mississippi on the women's softball team for four years, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Recreation Administration. While competing at Ole Miss, she made three NCAA Regional appearances and one Super Regional appearance. As a pitcher, she is 9th in program history with an ERA of 2.60 and 6th in program history holding opponent's batting average to .242. She is currently 8th in program history in mound appearances. Sanders bestowed NFCA Easton Scholar-Athlete Honors in each season from 2018-2021. She was also on the SEC Honor Roll during all four seasons as a student athlete.
Ava resides in Cedartown, GA with her husband, Dawson Sanders and their son, Dean.
