Andrew Colborn embarks on his journey as the Head Wrestling Coach for the inaugural wrestling team at Shorter University with an impressive track record in both coaching and personal athletic accomplishments. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sports Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a Master of Science degree in Sports Management from Minot State University, Colborn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the program.

Colborn's coaching career includes three years as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at UNC Pembroke and two years as the Head Wrestling Coach at Davis & Elkins College. His tenure has been marked by notable successes, including coaching 14 NCAA DII National Qualifiers, three NCAA DII All-Americans, one National Runner-up, and seven NWCA Scholar All-Americans. Under his leadership, his teams captured the 2020 Mountain East Conference Team Championship and the 2020 NCAA DII Super Region II Team Championship.

As a former collegiate wrestler, Colborn was a vital member of the UNC Pembroke wrestling team, contributing to their 2017-18 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship victory. His experience as both a coach and athlete provides him with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the sport.

Andrew Colborn is dedicated to building a strong, competitive wrestling program at Shorter University, and he looks forward to guiding his athletes to success both on and off the mat.
