Kelsey Hogan (formerly Hodgson) is entering her ninth year as a part of the Lady Hawks’ softball coaching staff and sixth year as head coach. She started as a graduate assistant in the 2016- 17 season and graduated in May of 2018 with her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management. She spent two seasons as an assistant coach.
As a student- athlete, Hogan was a third baseman for the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina where she graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She was named to the 2011 SoCon All-Freshman team, the 2013 SoCon All-Conference team, the 2014 CAA All-Conference team, and selected as the 2014 CofC Offensive Player of the Year. In her career, she ranks in the top ten in 11 offensive categories, including first in homeruns (42), fifth in doubles (37), third in RBIs (135), second in extra base hits (87), and third in slugging percentage (.589). She was also named to the CofC Honor Roll all eight semesters.
After graduation, she spent one season as an assistant coach for the East Cobb Bullets 18u Gold team. They concluded the season with a third-place finish at the Triple Crown National Championship and were runners-up in the USA Junior Olympic Cup.
A native of Woodstock, Georgia, Hogan attended Etowah High School. As a member of the East Cobb Bullets, her team won the 2010 ASA 18u Gold National Championship. Her Dad played football at Georgia Tech (1979-81) and her brother played football at Mars Hill College (2007-11).
She and her husband, Jarrod, reside in Lindale, GA.
