Piotr Witczak

Piotr Sebastian Witczak, also called “Pete” by his friends and colleagues, is in his second season as a Graduate Assistant Coach of the track & field and cross country teams at Shorter University.

Prior to his time at the collegiate level, Witczak was an administrative and technical assistant at Alternative Health Atlanta in Marietta, Georgia. He also worked as an administrative assistant at the Undergraduate Admissions Office of Kennesaw State University where he was responsible for Data Entry, Processing College Preparatory Curriculum Worksheets, and Quality Control.

Witczak received his Bachelor’s in International Affairs with a concentration in International Business, Economics, and Political Science from Kennesaw State University in 2011. He is currently working on his master’s degree in Business Administration from Shorter University.

While at Kennesaw, Witczak was an exceptional runner on both the cross country and track teams as he was named the captain of KSU cross country team, three time Atlantic Sun Conference Runner of the Week, multiple time Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic, and also picked three times to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference Team for his performance at the cross country and track field championships.

Pete set two individual Kennesaw State school records in the 1500 Meters, at the Georgia Intercollegiate Invitational (3.53.51) and later at the Auburn Tiger Classic (3.50.61). Pete was also a part of two Kennesaw State relay school records, the Distance Medley Relay at the Niswonger Invitational (10:07.91) and the 4x800 at the Georgia Relays (7:39.87). Earned All A-Sun honors with a third place finish in the 1500 Meters at the A-Sun outdoor Championships, running the race in a time of 3:59.04.

Even before stepping foot on a college campus, his talents gained national attention on his native soil.  Pete earned a bronze medal in the 4x400 Meter event at the Polish Junior Championships, and finished 21st in the Polish Junior National Cross Country Championships.

Piotr Sebastian Witczak was born in Warsaw, Poland and is the son of Andrzej and Anna Witczak. He has an older sister; Agnieszka, 27.
