Shorter University Athletics

Amy Stockton is in her second year as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Shorter University, having joined the coaching staff as an assistant in 2020 and taking over as head coach in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services from Berry College.

Stockton has a rich background in cheerleading and dance, having danced on high school and college teams and performed in notable events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Her passion for the sport extends beyond coaching; she has successfully owned and operated a cheerleading gym in Rome, Georgia for six years, fostering young talent and promoting the sport within the community.

Amy has been a resident of Rome, Georgia for 21 years, where she lives with her husband Jason, to whom she has been married for 22 years, and their four children: Elizabeth, Allie, Jase, and Bella Kate.
