ROME- The Shorter Men's Tennis team fell to Lees-McRae Saturday afternoon in a 5-2 defeat. The loss drops the Hawks to 2-12 overall and 0-5 in conference.
The Hawks battled in doubles winning the #3 spot as
Kamron Palacios and
Bailey Liu earned a 7-5 win. Despite this, the Hawks struggled not being able to claim a point in doubles.
Shorter earned victories in the singles department, as Georgios Tsiuomas earned a well-fought 7-6, 3-6, 10-6 win in the third line before
Kalle Johansson dominated his opponent in the #4 spot, winning 6-1, 6-0. The Hawks unfortunately could not grab another point, falling in a 5-2 defeat.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will return to play on April 1 when they travel to Young Harris for a 1:00 PM match.
