BOAZ, Ala.- The Shorter Women's Tennis team dominated Snead State Friday afternoon, blanking them in a 7-0 victory.
The Hawks were all business in doubles, not losing a single set.
Sharick Guiza Hernandez and Laura Martin earned an 8-0 win before Lady Ester Villanueva and
Sofia Arellano picked up an 8-0 win themselves.
Caroline Johnson and
Danielle Hernandez added insurance with an 8-0 win to give the Hawks the doubles point.
Shorter's dominance flowed into singles, as Hernandez earned a quick 6-0, 6-0 win. Arellano cruised with a 6-1, 6-0 win as Villanueva answered with a 6-1, 6-0 win as well. Laura Martin kept things rolling, earning a 6-1, 6-1 victory as
Danielle Hernandez grabbed a convincing 6-3, 6-3 win before
Caroline Johnson gave the Hawks their seventh point for a 6-3, 6-1 win.
UP NEXT
Shorter will be back in action on March 6 as they travel to Milledgeville, Georgia, to face off against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for a 1:00 PM match.
