ROME- The Shorter Softball team fell to Columbus State Saturday afternoon in their series finale in a 10-0 defeat.
The Cougars got on the board quickly, driving in two in the first. The visitors broke open their lead with a two-run homer in the following inning as Columbus State continued to pour in runs. The Hawks continued to fight, but could not contain Columbus State's offense, who drove in six more across the game to make it a 10-0 final.

Shorter aims to bounce back this week as they host Clark Atlanta for a doubleheader this Tuesday.
