WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- The Shorter Hawks Women's Lacrosse team fell to the University of Cumberlands Tuesday afternoon in a 22-2 loss.
The hosts controlled the contest early, scoring the first three goals. Shorter would answer with a goal from
Cassidy Jones to get them on the board that was later followed by another from
Kaitlyn Dwyer-Peppers to make it 7-2 after one. Shorter continued to battle, but could not contain the Patriots' offense as they continued to extend their lead. The Hawks closed the night, falling in a 22-2 defeat.
UP NEXT
Shorter will look ahead to this weekend, where they will host SCAD-Savannah on Friday at 5:00 PM, which will then be followed by their conference opener against Belmont-Abbey on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
