MONTEVALLO, Ala.-The Shorter men's golf team competed well in the opening round of the Full Moon Invitational hosted by Montevallo University. The Hawks sit currently at seventh place for the tournament.
Nathan Martin leads the way for the Hawks after shooting a 73 (+2) which is also tied for 10th overall.
Chandler Burns follows closely behind, carding a 74 (+3) for 14th overall.
Tommy Harris and
Jack Floyd have also put in respectable performances in the opening round with Harris shooting a 76 (+5) and Floyd with a 79 (+8).
Landon Mealor rounds out the Hawks with an 83 (+12).
The Hawks will look to climb up the leaderboard as they compete in day two of the Full Moon Invitational tomorrow morning.
