Vaughn Robbins (Baseball)

Vaughn Robbins was drafted out of high school in 1971 by the Washington Senators and led the Hawks in hitting all four years. For his career, Robbins pasted a .385 batting average, 40 home runs, 138 RBI and a 20-9 pitching record. He was a four-time All-Conference and All-District selection, a two-time All-Area pick, NAIA All-America Honorable Mention in 1974 and NAIA All-America in 1975.

Robbins struck out 19 batters in one game in 1972, tying a conference record, and led the conference in hitting his freshman year with a .389 batting average. Robbins was a member of three straight GIAC Conference championship teams and District 25 champions in 1974 and 1975, before signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1975.
