Mercedes Ramos Labra was a three-time All-GIAC and two-time NAIA All-District honoree in tennis. A 1994 graduate of the university, Labra won a wealth of events during her career, including the SE Rolex, East Tennessee State University Invitational, the Georgia Collegiate and Shorter Invitational. Labra won 72 singles matches in three years, but enjoyed her best season as a junior when she went 37-7 in singles and 42-2 in doubles while winning the GIAC and District 25 titles.
