Lydy Pinson became the first female tennis player in Shorter history to win 100 matches and was the first Lady Hawk to garner NAIA All-America honors after her selection in 1993.

Pinson posted 40 wins as a freshman - a single season record at Shorter - and was a four-time All-Conference chioce. She was ranked in the top 50 in the NAIA all four years and was a member of Shorter's 1995 conference championship team.
