Bagwell started in every game throughout his three seasons at Shorter. His career accolades include two-time GIAC All-Conference, two-time All-District 25, All-Area 5, and NAIA All-American Honorable Mention. Bagwell's sophomore season saw him set four new school records for an individual season. During his junior year, he was named one of the tri-captains and awarded the Joe Hackett Memeorial Award for being an MVP. With an impressive three-season career, his stats include 155 games, 513 at-bats, 132 runs scored, 186 hits, 147 RBIs, 42 doubles, 6 triples, 36 homeruns, and he polished it all off with a .363 career batting average. Bagwell was drafted by and played for the Pttsburgh Pirates Organization.
