NEW ORLEANS – Hawks Tennis took defeat number four of the season Monday afternoon on the road against Xavier University, 9-0.

Hawks Grayson Jones and Arturo Liftshitz put up a fight to take a victory in the doubles No. 3 position, but came short of the win in the 8-6 match.

Colt Kelley also held to a close game against opponent Stefen Giles-Osborn. The Shorter Hawk barely took the defeat in a 6-4, 6-4 match.

Shorter will take the court next on March 6 on the road against New Orleans. Match time is scheduled for 2 pm.
