SUHawkVision: SU athletes, staff participate in mission to Haiti

ROME -- The Shorter University Department of Athletics invites you to an inside look at a recent mission trip to Haiti taken by several Shorter student-athletes, athletics staff members and university staff personnel.

For one week, this group -- which included Shorter Campus Minister David Rowland, Director of Athletic Development Rachel Rogers, assistant men's soccer coach Kyle Timberlake, and volleyball players Kelsey Kirk and Leslie Welch -- aided in recovery efforts from the massive earthquake that rocked the country on January 12, 2010.

The students and staff members helped in the reconstruction of churches all while sharing the Gospel through worship services and simple fellowship with local residents.
